  • Reasons for Bird Management & Disease — public health risks, property damage, contamination, disease transmission; legal responsibilities.
  • Health, Safety & Legislation — relevant laws & codes, safety considerations when installing proofing or electrical systems; environmental protection; protected species; permissions.
  • Proofing techniques & Materials — netting, wire/mesh, slope systems, exclusion (gaps, roof-lines etc.), electric deterrents, solar panel proofing issues.
  • Modern Deterrents & Systems — electric track systems, scaring & outbreak management. When they work, limitations, maintenance.

  • Bird Surveys & Monitoring — how to conduct surveys (tools, data collection, frequency), identifying key indicators, using surveys to guide management.

  • Spotting Sales Opportunities — how to advise customers, cost-vs-benefit, specifying systems, recommending products.

Practical Elements / Case Studies

We include real case studies of installations, proofing challenges (solar panels, roof edges, heritage buildings, etc). You’ll see examples of systems in use, learn about installation pitfalls, maintenance issues, and get hands-on / visual learning (photos, maybe site visit depending on location).
