CRRU code of best practice
Pelsis is proud to support CRRU, promoting best practice rodenticide usage.
IMPORTANT: CHANGES TO RODENTICIDE PURCHASING
The way you purchase anticoagulant rodenticides is changing, with new conditions coming into force on 31st March 2016, when purchasing “stewardship condition” products (as shown on the label).
This includes all second generation anticoagulants, and is regulated by the UK Rodenticide Stewardship Regime.
The UK Rodenticide Stewardship Regime requires a declaration to be completed for all professional users. This includes pest controllers, farmers and gamekeepers.
Each declaration is a single page document, which can be downloaded from one of the links below:
1 - Supply Chain Partners
To be completed by companies selling rodenticides to end users and further supply chain partners.
2 - Declaration Form
To be completed by servicing companies, pest control companies and gamekeepers with certified user(s).
3 - Document - Farm Assurance Form
To be completed by farms that are members of an approved Farm Assurance Scheme.
Once completed, please return to us by post to the following address:
Pelsis, Sterling House, Grimbald Crag Close, Knaresborough, HG5 8PJ.
Alternatively you can email info@pelsis.co.uk.
Along with your declaration, we also require a copy of the proof of competence (acceptable certificate) for at least one certificated user for your company. If we haven’t already got a copy of your certificate please send it to us by post, email or fax. The approved list of certifications can be found at www.thinkwildlife.org.
If you require assistance or any further information on this please contact our customer service team on 0800 988 5359 or your local account manager, who will be more than happy to help.

What is CRRU?
CRRU stands for the Campaign for Responsible Rodenticide use and it helps to ensure that rodenticides are being used correctly and in ways that minimise the exposure to wildlife and non-target species.
CRRU produce a number of helpful publications to guide all user groups, including professional pest controllers, farmers and gamekeepers.
The CRRU Code of Best Practice explains how to use rodenticides responsibly through the seven point code of practice and also gives further information on risk hierarchy, how to avoid rodent infestations and more!
